A beautiful antique Edwardian gemstone stick pin/hat pin brooch crafted in 14 karat yellow gold.
It is bezel set with an oval blue sapphire doublet* measuring 5 x 4 mm, and a small white baroque pearl.
*A doublet is a gemstone composed of two pieces of material attached together. In our case, the blue sapphire doublet is composed of a thin faceted sapphire top attached to a thicker piece of blue glass bottom giving the illusion of a larger sapphire.
Tested for 14 karat gold.
Weighs 1.35 gram.

W: 0.49" (1.25 cm).
The setting part is 0.71” (1.81 cm) long.
